John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo) Inc.โs Medical and Dental Services facilitated the HIV lecture and testing conducted by the Western Visayas Medical Center (WVMC) HIV AIDS Core Team at JBL Hall, November 18.
Seventy-four BSMT students, 288 SHS students, faculty, and staff attended the lecture on Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Sexual Transmitted Infections (STIs) by Dr. Patricia A. Tobias, FPOGS.
The WVMC HIV AIDS Core Team also conducted a free HIV screening during the seminar.
The event themed โCharting a Safe Course: Understanding HVI and STIsโ was spearheaded by JBLFMU-Aโs Medical, Dental Services with Dr. Cynthia B. Baleรฑa at the helm.
This initiative aligns with the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs): Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3) and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).
