The John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime Universityโ€“Arevalo formally opened the year with its first flag-raising ceremony of 2026 on Monday morning, marking the return of students, faculty, and staff after the holiday break. BSMT Dean Capt. Nestor F. Baluya, MSMM, and University Administrator Robert O. Parcia, MSMM, led the ceremony and formally welcomed the returning Lacsonians. The event signaled the resumption of academic and university activities, setting the tone for the start of 2026.
