The John B-Molo sponsored the virtual the 1st Series of International Conference and Research Colloquium of UNIFFIED (United Federation of Filipino-American Educators) with the theme “Digital Education in Pandemic: Learning in Different Modalities” last July 29, 2022. This international activity was attended by different faculty members, students, and researchers from different places in the Philippines. The international Plenary speakers were: (1) Dr. Safary Wa-Mbaleka of United States of America, (2) Dr. Teay Shawyun of Thailand, and (3) Dr. Jose Dennis Dureza of the Kingdon of Bahrain.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Raul C. Alvarez, CHED Regional Director of Region 6.

Mr. Edgardo B. Dacpano, president of UNIFFIED-USA had given the welcome address.

The following instructors presented their studies:

(1) Dr. Marybec Gullergan with her study entitled “Challenges and Coping Strategies of Retired and Aging Seafarers: Bases for Policy Recommendation and Enhanced Pre-Service Training Program,

(2) Mrs. Camila Jill Belandres with the study “Virtual Education (Online Physical Education): Personal Challenges and Teaching Practices among PE Teachers,

(3) Mr. Donie Alvon Mañosa of his study “The Psychology of Maritime Education”,

(4) Dr. Ruth Bayhon with her study entitled “Getting into the Waves of English Language Teaching for Maritime Students,

(5) Dr. Stella Cantor in her study entitled “English Teachers’ Out-of-the Field Teaching in Higher Education Institutions Practices and Initiatives."
