Soaring high with their blazing capabilities, The Seagull, the official student publication of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University-Molo, Inc., bagged 16 awards during the awarding ceremonies of 21st Word Cup Philippines National Journalism Conference and Contests at Angels' Hills in Tagaytay City, Philippines, May 4-5.

 After victoriously competing on their respective categories 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗹 took home the following awards: 

 

 

Almost 300 delegates from numerous schools across the Philippines converged at the 21st Word Cup Philippines National Journalism Conference and Contests.

Marking a historic return to in-person events after the pandemic, the Word Cup Associated Editors Co. and Ed Calibre International organized the two-day conference, equipping campus journalists with skills to report on post-pandemic scientific advancements and their impact on society.

The Seagull extends its deepest appreciation to everyone involved: organizers, evaluators, editorial board, staff, adviser, instructors, JBLFMU-Molo, Inc. management, parents, and the unwavering support of the Lacsonian community.
