Fifty-three young learners from Sto. Niรฑo Sur Elementary School were recognized during the Moving-Up Ceremony of the Assure-a-Child the Right Education (ACRE) Program, marking its second year under the Educational Assistance Program of the Community Extension Services Office of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc. held today at the JBL Hall.

The beneficiaries, students who come from lesser means but are nonetheless deserving, received certificates, medals, and gifts from their respective sponsors, composed of the universityโ€™s faculty and staff. The initiative continues to open doors for children whose education is often challenged by financial hardship.

Beyond the awarding, the ceremony carried stories of quiet strength. One student was given a special recognition for resilience, honored for her determination to pursue education despite not being able to move up to the next grade level, reminding everyone present that growth is not always defined by advancement, but by the will to continue.

The inspirational message was delivered by Capt. Julyven C. Juanica, BSMT Faculty and University Pollution Control Officer.

The ACRE Program stands as a reflection of shared responsibility where the support of the university community becomes a lifeline for young learners, and where every child is reminded that their dreams matter.
