John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU) Arevalo took part in the PTC Rise Program for Safe Schools (RPSS) Volunteer Network Establishment and Masterclass Session, reaffirming its commitment to promoting disaster resilience and campus safety.
The activity gathered faculty, staff, and key stakeholders to strengthen volunteer networks and enhance disaster preparedness through discussions on emergency response, risk reduction, and leadership. Participants were equipped with practical knowledge and essential skills that will help build a more prepared and responsive academic community.
More than a training session, the program emphasized the importance of collaboration and shared responsibility in creating safer learning environments. It encouraged participants to become proactive leaders who can respond effectively during emergencies and contribute to strengthening disaster resilience within their respective institutions.
