John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo) Inc. is looking to renew its Level IV Reaccredited status for the third time as the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) conducted an on-site audit earlier today, September 9, 2026.
The reaccreditation goes beyond verifying compliance by examining how the university has sustained and improved the quality of its programs, facilities, and services since its previous evaluation.
As part of the assessment, the PACUCOA accreditors conducted an ocular visit of the university to assess key areas of institutional performance, including teaching and learning, career development, research productivity, student services, community involvement, linkages, physical facilities, and quality assurance mechanisms.
The evaluation also measures whether these systems continue to serve the needs of students and the wider community.
PACUCOA, a private accrediting agency for Philippine higher education institutions, assesses academic programs against established standards of educational quality, with Level IV serving as its highest program status and granting maximum autonomy and deregulation.
