For a day, the university grounds became a battlefield of kingdoms for the College of Maritime Education (CME) Day 2026, featuring competitions under the theme โ€œUnited by the Sea, Bounded by Legacy.โ€

Organized by the Student Executive Council-College of Maritime Education (SEC-CME), the event drew thematic inspiration from the Lord of the Rings high-fantasy epic, and featured maritime skills competitions, creative contests, and team-based performances.

Mirkwood, Dale, and Lothlรณrien took the top three spots in the Parade of Discipline, while Gondor, Erebor, and Dale succeeded in the Just Dance! competition. Gondor also secured the top spot in Maritime Roleplay, ahead of Dale and Mirkwood.

In the digital competitions, Dale led Computer-Based Instruction Making, followed by Mirkwood and Erebor. Gondor topped Digital Poster Making, with Dale and Erebor completing the podium.

Gondor also won Mobile Photography, while Erebor and Dale took the next two spots. In Collision Regulations, Gondor secured first place, followed by Mirkwood and Dale.

Mirkwood led Radar Plotting, with Dale and Mordor next in the rankings. Voyage Planning saw Mirkwood take the top spot, while Dale and Gondor followed.

Dale won Painting Stage, with Eribor and Mirkwood completing the listed placements. In Bosunโ€™s Chair, Mirkwood led the results, followed by Gondor and Dale.

Erebor received the Manrope Splicing award by default.

Mirkwood topped Knot Tying, while Lothlorien and Rohan took the remaining listed places.

In Sail and Scale, Mordor and Dale secured the second and third placements, respectively.

Mordor also received the special award for Best Water Performance, while Dale earned Best Hull Design. However, it was Mirkwood that won the first-ever Sail and Scale competition.

Dale came out as the overall champion, Gondor claimed the second place trophy, and Erebor took home the third.
