John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc. offered a holy mass for the celebration of the Feast of the Nativity of Mary at the school's gymnasium today, September 8, with Rev. Fr. Reynel Tanalgo, MHM presiding.
He emphasized the relation of Mary's values that are also essential to the students: obedience and faith, simplicity and humility, and courage and commitment.
"Let us thank God for the gift of Mama Mary. Let us ask for our young people, especially our students, be faithful like Mary, be humble like Mary, be courageous like Mary, so that one day may your life, like Mary's, also become a yes to God." These were the concluding words of Rev. Fr. Tanalgo in his homily.
The 8th of September is a special occasion for the Christian Catholic community, remembering and honoring the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus.
