John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc. officially ushered its first-year students of the Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) and Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BSCrim) departments into a new chapter of their academic journey through the long-awaited Donning Ceremony held this morning.
Following the successful initiation rites last September 4, 20 sections of freshmen stood tall and proud as they wore their summer white uniforms and gleaming paraphernalia for the very first time.
The ceremony highlighted discipline as the foundation of their journey, with the uniform serving as the embodiment of dignity, integrity, and responsibility.
โWear your uniform with pride and dignity,โ resounded as the central theme of this yearโs ceremony, emphasizing that the brilliance of oneโs attire must reflect the discipline and character of the one who wears it.
This annual ceremony marks the transition from being just students to becoming true-blooded Lacsonians, now officially addressed as midshipmen.
