John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Molo), Inc. conducted its first flag-raising ceremony for Academic Year 2025-2026 on July 6 at the university gymnasium, bringing together students, faculty members, staff, and administrators in a program that highlighted the university's commitment to its core values, academic excellence, and student leadership.

Facilitated by the Student Assistants Scholarship Association, the ceremony featured a Values Sharing on Integrity delivered by alumnus C/E Racer Gem P. Cerbas, a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering graduate and Student Supreme Government adviser. In his message, Cerbas encouraged students to uphold integrity as a defining value that should guide both their academic journey and personal lives.
During the ceremony, the administration reminded graduating students to complete all academic requirements within the school year in compliance with the university's clean record policy. Students were also encouraged to uphold courtesy, discipline, and professionalism in their conduct on campus.
The university further announced the conduct of enhancement classes in Mathematics and English to help students strengthen their academic competencies and support their continued academic success.
In line with the recent increase in Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (URTI) cases, the administration issued a health advisory encouraging the Lacsonian community to wear face masks in enclosed or crowded areas, observe proper hand hygiene and cough etiquette, and stay home when experiencing symptoms of respiratory illness.
The program also recognized members of the Lacsonian community for their recent accomplishments. The Peer Facilitating Program received a citation for being named as a Visayas Finalist for People category of the Ten Outstanding UN SDGs Awards. Recognition was likewise given to members of the university community who successfully passed the Seaworkforce Manila Corporation placement screening, acknowledging their achievement and readiness for future maritime careers.
The ceremony concluded with the oath-taking of newly appointed student officers, formally marking the beginning of their service and leadership for the academic year.
