𝐉𝐁𝐋𝐅𝐌𝐔-𝐌'𝐬 𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬


A seminar-workshop titled "Strengthening Family Relationships" was successfully conducted by the Community Extension Service (CES) of JBLFMU-Molo on March 18, 2025. The event, held at the JBLFMU-Molo CSM Function Hall, brought together 55 parents of Educational Assistance Program student recipients from Brgy. Sooc, Arevalo, Iloilo City, and Brgy. Trapiche, Oton, Iloilo. The seminar aimed to promote open and effective communication within households, with a theme of "Bridging the Gap: Effective Communication for Stronger Family Relations."

Resource speakers Mr. Donie Alvon Mañosa, Guidance Counselor of Oton National High School, and Mr. Gaudioso Yudelmo, a retired Executive Master Sergeant of the PNP, emphasized the importance of effective communication in fostering stronger family relationships. They highlighted the roles of parents and children in maintaining a harmonious home environment. Engr. Roberto Neal S. Sobrejuanite, Administrator of JBLFMU-Molo, and Mrs. Araceli Tondo, Chairperson of the Social Work Department at Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, also shared their insights and experiences on the significant role of parents in the lives of their children.

The seminar-workshop was a collaborative effort between JBLFMU-Molo, the Educational Research and Development Assistance (ERDA) Foundation, and the Social Work student interns of Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus. The event was a meaningful and impactful initiative aimed at strengthening family bonds and promoting open and effective communication within households. By empowering parents with the knowledge and skills to communicate effectively, the seminar aimed to create a positive impact on family relationships and contribute to a more harmonious community.
