The University of Antique delegation visited John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University-Molo (JBLFMU-M) on October 6, 2025 (Monday), from 10:00 AM onwards, for a benchmarking activity on the university’s Education Organization Management System (EOMS). The visit was part of their transition from ISO 9001:2015 to ISO 21001:2018, highlighting JBLFMU-Molo’s role as a model institution and catalyst for quality transformation in education.

The benchmarking activity was coordinated through the university’s Administrators’ Office and Quality Assurance Office. The delegation was warmly received by university officials and staff. Engr. Roberto Neal S. Sobrejuanite served as the resource person, assisted by Engr. Rogelio Baria Jr., Quality Assurance Manager of JBLFMU-Molo.
According to Engr. Sobrejuanite, the visit serves as a “validation of JBLFMU-Molo’s commitment to continuous improvement, educational excellence, and collaborative learning within the maritime education sector.”
Meanwhile, Engr. Baria emphasized the importance of shared growth among educational institutions, stating that “benchmarking is more than a process of comparison, it is a partnership in pursuit of excellence. When one institution grows in quality, the entire educational ecosystem benefits.”
The visit validated the university’s effective implementation of EOMS, reinforced its reputation and partnerships, and fostered a shared spirit of collaboration and continuous improvement across institutions in the region.
