John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU), through its Community Extension Services, successfully conducted the Eco-Adventure Camp 2026, celebrating its 10th anniversary and 8th year of implementation. The four-day camp gathered 54 student participants from 28 schools across Western Visayas for immersive environmental education and leadership activities.
Participants engaged in hands-on learning experiences on mangrove, seagrass, and coral reef conservation, wildlife appreciation, disaster preparedness, and climate action. The camp also featured youth-led environmental project presentations, with Coral Rise and Project FEAT selected for support and implementation.
By empowering young environmental advocates and future community leaders, the program contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 14 (Life Below Water), and SDG 15 (Life on Land), reinforcing JBLFMU’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
