Camp Alumnus Leads Coral Gardening Activity in Igang Bay Marine Sanctuary

An Eco-Adventure Camp alumnus successfully implemented his project proposal, “Coral Rise: A Coral Gardening Activity,” bringing together environmental partners and youth volunteers in a shared effort to restore and protect marine ecosystems on June 28, 2026.

Experts and scuba divers from the LGU of Nueva Valencia, JBLFMU, GENRO, PDRRMO, Bantay Dagat, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) supported the activity. They were joined by 35 youth volunteers from different schools and universities, along with their fellow camp alumni.

Through coral gardening and reef restoration activities, participants contributed to the conservation of marine biodiversity while promoting environmental stewardship among the youth.

The initiative highlights the lasting impact of the Eco-Adventure Camp in empowering young leaders to turn environmental ideas into meaningful community action.
