Eco-Adventure Camp Alumnus Leads EcoLegacy Initiative

Former Eco-Adventure Camp participant Clyde Jeromar Fulge (Camper Batch 2025), together with the BS Cruise Ship Management team of JBLFMU, led the successful launch of EcoLegacy, an environmental initiative that engaged more than 500 JBLFMU students.

Following an orientation on Puerto del Mar, the Igang Bay Marine Sanctuary (IBMS), mangroves, and coral reefs, more than 500 JBLFMU participants, including NSTP-CWTS and NSTP-ROTC students and BS Cruise Ship Management students from first to fourth year, took part in hands-on environmental activities such as coral planting, mangrove planting and bagging, a clean-up drive, and the preparation of artificial coral reefs.

The initiative highlights the continuing impact of the Eco-Adventure Camp, as its alumni carry forward the camp’s environmental values and transform their experiences into meaningful environmental action.

EcoLegacy contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 14: Life Below Water, SDG 15: Life on Land, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by promoting environmental education, ecosystem conservation, youth participation, and collaborative action for sustainability.
