JBLFMU-CES was honored by DENR-PENRO Guimaras as among the 2025 Outstanding Environmental Advocate Partner during the Year-End Assessment on December 22, 2025, at the Pitstop Hotel, Alaguisoc, Jordan, Guimaras.
The university earned this certificate and plaque of recognition for its unwavering commitment to Guimaras’ ecosystems, from strengthening Marine Protected Areas and the GAPAS alliance to leading biophysical monitoring in the Taklong and Tandog Islands. Through flagship initiatives like the Eco Adventure Camp, JBLFMU-CES has empowered youth leaders and bridged the gap between academia and conservation. This award celebrates a partnership that is truly transforming marine governance and sustainable development.
