“The main reason why I joined campus journalism is not to impress but to express something from the heart."

 Says Deck Cadet Anthony Ken Bucasas, the Dolphin's former Editor-in-Chief as he served as the Guest Speaker of the Philippine Information Agency VI Journ Talk Series 2022 via Facebook live, October 7.

 D/C Bucasas shared three important words to note in journalism: Integrity, Discipline, and Humility.

 “First is you have to be integral. You have to be true to yourself to make people like you and also to build relationships. Secondly, you have to be disciplined as it can be an avenue to improve yourself. Lastly, you have to be humble as there are people that will always be on top of you. You can’t be always on the top and not all the time you will win," D/C Bucasas highlighted in his speech.

 "We should create more people like us: who are also leaders, who are innovators and who can become an inspiration to others", added Bucasas, a piece of advice given by his Senior Instructor, Capt. Ace Ocampo.
