Lacsonian talents reign in 3rd Jaro Archdiosan Film Festival

Lacsonian filmmakers once again proved that they are maritime and more during the 3𝐫𝐝 π‰πšπ«π¨ π€π«πœπ‘ππ’π¨πœπžπ¬πšπ§ 𝐅𝐒π₯𝐦 π…πžπ¬π­π’π―πšπ₯ held at St. Joseph’s Hall, St. Vincent Ferrer Seminary Auditorium last June 1, 2023.

Former Maritime Lenses director, screenwriter, and cinematographer, D/C NiΓ±o Maldecir, bested contenders with his film β€œUlay nga mga Bulak” of San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish, Guimbal, and secured 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐒π₯𝐦, Best Poster, Best Screenplay, Best Cast Ensemble, Best Cinematography, and Best Director.

D/C Joseph Cartago Jr.'s β€œHukas Lalaw” of Parish of St. Thomas de Villanova, Miagao, won 2𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐒π₯𝐦 and Best Editing.

Meanwhile, Mdpn. John Rovic Lopez and his β€œIndi Ako Takus” of The Holy Child Parish, Badu, Calinog, bagged 3𝐫𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐒π₯𝐦, 4th Best Poster, and Best Actress.

The film festival seeks to inspire youth communicators and members of parish ministries from the several participating parishes to explore their creativity through filmmaking.
