Lacsonian filmmakers once again proved that they are maritime and more during the 3𝐫𝐝 𝐉𝐚𝐫𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 held at St. Joseph’s Hall, St. Vincent Ferrer Seminary Auditorium last June 1, 2023.

Former Maritime Lenses director, screenwriter, and cinematographer, D/C Niño Maldecir, bested contenders with his film “Ulay nga mga Bulak” of San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish, Guimbal, and secured 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦, Best Poster, Best Screenplay, Best Cast Ensemble, Best Cinematography, and Best Director.

D/C Joseph Cartago Jr.'s “Hukas Lalaw” of Parish of St. Thomas de Villanova, Miagao, won 2𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 and Best Editing.

Meanwhile, Mdpn. John Rovic Lopez and his “Indi Ako Takus” of The Holy Child Parish, Badu, Calinog, bagged 3𝐫𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦, 4th Best Poster, and Best Actress.

The film festival seeks to inspire youth communicators and members of parish ministries from the several participating parishes to explore their creativity through filmmaking.
