Louise May M. Lim, one of the Faculty Members from the College of Business is making the JBLFMU-Molo Community and School Administration proud as she visited the UNESCO-APCEIU Headquarter in Saemal-ro, Seoul, South Korea for intercultural dialogue/case sharing, and interview in teaching GCED in the Philippines.
In her talk, she shared how the PROJECT SAY IT WITH KINDNESS evolved into integrating GCED in classroom, campus, and community life. She presented to APCEIU the various transformative engagements in promoting Global Citizenship Education, Education for Sustainable development Goals, and the importance of Socio-Emotional Learning.
During the interview, the Project Say It with Kindness was highlighted, what is it all about, the learning, realizations, and strategies in carrying out the project, impact and success factors, as well as future plans for GCED. Also discussed was how GCED and Socio-Emotional Learning could transform higher education.
Dir. Lim Hyun Mook (the headquarter director) and Ms. Jihong Lee (the Education and Training Head) gave her a warm welcome. The encounter she had gave her the chance to share anything under the sun from national politics, diplomatic affairs, cultural traits, down to the most ordinary topics like how ILOILO got it's name. It was a relevant privilege for her to share to APCEIU how the university, JBLFMU-MOLO, Inc. has supported the integration of GCED, SEL, and Critical Media and Information Literacy in classroom instructions, campus and community life.
