JCI REGATTA's 14th The Outstanding Students of Iloilo Awards (TOSIA): Salute to Excellence was held in Robinsons Place Iloilo Fountain Area, June 19.
The Seagull's editor-in-chief, Mdpwn. Erica Opinion of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University-Molo and a 4th year Bachelor of Science in Cruise Ship
Management (BSCSM) student, was one of the awardees of this year's coveted TOSIA.
With the intention of empowering the communities, Opinion advocates for SDG 4 (Quality Education) through development communication that entails heavy
commitment to teach learners in learning about and participating in the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
"This recognition is a great attestation that I am an empowered individual who has fulfilled her true purpose as a leader, community worker, and a person
grounded in faith," Opinion said.
The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Regatta aimed to give due honor and credit to students who embody the four pillars of this award: Academic Excellence,
Leadership, Community Involvement, and Faith.
