THE MARITIME VANGUARD REPRESENTED IN NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH FORUMS

 The month of June and July saw able representation of The Maritime Vanguard: John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU) in the national and international research arena with the university playing key roles in the Maritime Research Forum (MET) on June 24 to 25 2021 and the International Conference on Shipping and Nautical Science (ICSNS) on July 23 2021.

Dr. Melchor Magramo, JBLFMU Research Director, presented a paper titled “Life Skills of Maritime Students in the Philippines: Responding to the Realities of Seafaring” with the MET. He was joined by another research representative from the JBLFMU Research Community, Dr. Rolando Alimen of JBLFMU Molo who likewise presented the paper, “Navigational Trip: Safety, Security and Protection as Compliance to International Standard.”

A month later, Capt. Luis Evidente as JBLFMU Executive Assistant to the CEO, played a key role in the ICSNS gathering where he served as one of the Keynote Speakers of the conference as well as a reactor and moderator to papers presented.

The MET was hosted by National Maritime Polytechnic while the ICSNS was organized by the Department of Nautical Science of the Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET).
