Vegetable Garden and Poultry Project at Woodland

Concerns over the pandemic issues have brought many of our fellow workers to a limited extent of mobility even in acquiring food products and vegetables for home consumption. In line with JBLFMU CES came up an idea to have a backyard poultry and vegetables garden at Woodland Bike Park to give JBLFMU Employees an easy access to a fresh and nutritious food supply. The harvest will be sold through JBLFMU Online Sell and Shop. This idea will also lessen the exposures of our employees and students against COVID 19 in public markets and malls. Added to that, this project is also in support with JBLFMU CES Strategic Objectives which are Pandemic-resilient implementation of CES projects and Safe environment for the employees and students against the threat of COVID 19. The poultry project is expected to operate on the last week of October once the area is ready, while the vegetable gardening project has started to harvest since September 2020 up to date. With the supervision of JBLFMU CES office, this project is taken care of the three families staying at Woodland Bike Park.
